Artistic Director Guillermo Quintanilla

brings over 15 years of experience in specialized education and community development, with extensive work in the Côte-des-Neiges community, where he supported initiatives aimed at improving residents’ quality of life. With a background in special education, he has collaborated on numerous projects focused on education, prevention, social integration, and psychosocial support. Alongside his community work, Guillermo has maintained a strong passion for visual arts and fashion, grounded in a belief that art is a powerful tool for emotional expression and for bridging social and cultural barriers. This unique combination of community expertise and artistic practice led him to co-found The Necessity Art Fair, a project celebrating the positive impact of art on both individual and collective well-being.

He oversees the conceptualization and delivery of workshops, exhibitions, and creative projects, ensuring that all programming remains accessible, inclusive, and socially engaged.
